kinship

nothing beats kinship.

everyone in a family needs to love, care and cherish each other.

having a complete family, but without these will be so upset & disappointed right?

our future nest - review 1

we have applied & gotten our flat slightly more than a year back. it will be located at fernvale road. it may sound kind of deserted, however its just behind yio chu kang road & a 2mins drive to jalan kayu.

we are kind of lucky to have our queue number at no. 31, thus our chances of selecting our ideal unit was pretty good. we got a good level & its also our ideal unit. =)

but whats the downside?? my flat will only be available in 2nd quarter of 2011 for me!!!
boo-hoo..

Snap-shots taken on 22nd march 2009

slightly closeup of my "block in construction"

can you all see a LRT station there right in front of the construction? it's fernvale station. and right next to it is a wet market, 24hr coffee shop, a few necessity shops & clinic.

when told my mil that we went to see hows the progress of our nest, she said "where got build so fast?" i replied, "got, they build house liao ah, their own house there lor!" (referring to the great workers who build my nest, haha)

the day we got together - 3rd anniversary

decided to rewind abit, to note down on how we spent our 3rd anniversary. both of us cant really remember how we spent our 2nd but i remembered clearly on our 1st anniversary, we went round clarke quay area snapping photos away...

for this year, we decided to make a trip down to night safari. it's my first trip to the night safari, yes im that mountain turtle! =p

on 21st jan 2009 after a quick dinner at home, we zoomed off to our destination! it was a wednesday evening, and both of us were surprise to see a huge crowd at the night safari! we purchased the combo tickets whereby it allow us to admissions to the zoo as well, as hubby said its much more worth it.

we spent less than 3 hours there. we started off with the animal show first followed by the tram ride that took us around. personally, i still find that zoo is much more interesting. at least i am still able to see animals! but at night safari, it all depends on luck.

overall still, ive enjoyed myself in this trip. tnkee hubby for taking time off to accompany me to this trip on this day. hubby was actually very busy in his work at that week. his mobile wouldn't stop ringing throughout the whole 3hrs...

below are some pictures we took at the zoo. we went there on valentine's day. been about 6 years since i last went there, its even longer for hubby. he couldn't even remember when he last stepped into the zoo!

we both agreed that it will not be just 2 of us when the next visit to the zoo, but with junior tan in years to come...=)
next, we drove straight to one of my favourite eat-out places for the food that i love, CRABS! Melben Seafood at Ang Mo Kio for our valentine's day dinner. Queue-ed for 45mins & waited for another 30mins for the crabs to be served. will go hunt for the pics to be uploaded soon.

a simple celebration

today's 22nd march. the day my mom worked hard to bring me to this world 25 yrs ago.

its just a simple meal celebration with hubby, but im already happily satisfied. =)

my health condition is getting better after the chinese medication. thankee to all who showed consistent concern on checking how am i feeling & stuff.. =)

i've FINALLY managed to hunt down the song TODAY, that ive wanted for my childhood montage! so happy...!!

i would like to shout out a big thank you to my darling teammates. thankee for my b'day surprise. i really appreciate alot. (ok, i looked super aunty in the pics below =X )

hubby bought me a digicam as my bday gift from the IT Fair last week. i love the cam! as for today, he brought me to dim sum at Zhou's Kitchen as per my request. food there was not bad. but i gotta admit, i ate like a pig today! its been a long time i hvv't been eating this much! in fact, my pig's diet started from yesterday. it started from ramen at IMM yesterday late noon, followed by my fav japanses ice cream, a light light dinner at home by my in-law & a satay supper from jalan kayu! really shows my appetite is coming back eh.. keke =p oopss, how am i going to watch my weight?!? its such a contradiction. i wan to be well & able to eat BUT i want to keep a close look of my figure!

ok, im really tired & sleepy now. pictures tell a thousand words, see below peeps.

our final photo of the day before we head back home. a simple meal, a happy me.

life decisions

when mrs tan was still known as miss wong, she has the aspirations of being a career woman - someone who can achieve lil' something in her career. however, after a few wrong decisions, bumps & hipcups in her career path & few incidents she encountered in her life, PLUS the fact that she met mr tan, her used-to-be thoughts faded..

miss wong was reborne. mrs tan's wants in life now changed. she wants to spend time with her family members, she wants to setup her small family, she wants a STABLE job.

mrs tan got a stable job currently. for the fact of it, she decided to take up a part time diploma in pre-school teaching, more commonly known as early childhood. what determined her to take up this course mainly was because of 2 main reasons. 1) its never too many to have another additional "paper" which may yet open another opportunity 2) maybe it's just mrs tan's mother's instinct hit her way too early. she wants to prepare for the best for her future bb. well, though it doesnt really prove that with the best, professional knowledge gained from the course will allow mrs tan to groom her BEST BB, but at least she tried to groom the bb with whatever she has learnt. all mummies will want to try their very best to groom their BEST BB in the world.

however, mrs tan hasn't be in her best of health for the past 2 weeks plus. always trying to catch her breathe. doctors concluded it's due to her naturally weak body & probably due to the work-study lifestyle. of coz' the boss wasn't really happy with it(somehow or rather he found out about the studies & her bad health)..

mrs tan is worried now..

to do list

there's still 11 months before the day. below is my list of things to be done & hopefully all to be achived!

1) to shed my fats!! im hoping to less about 5kg from my current weight. all brides wants to look the BEST on this day right. ;)

2) to have long and healthy hair. my hair is in quite a damaged condition now with lotsa split ends!

3) to increase shengyang's weight. thanks to his almost-daily workout and out there conducting training in the forests, my hubby is only 68kg now lor. i want him to hit at minimum 70kg! ideal will be 72kg.

4) hoping to have a substantial amount of savings so that we can travel to our ideal place for our honeymoon

5) to able to source nice dresses for my jiemeis! all need to be pretty pretty to match my gown. keke

6) compile all guest lists. this is the most headache sia.

7) source photographer & maybe videographer for actual day

8) shopping for our "new furniture"

9) shopping for both mummies' clothings

10) doing up our childhood montage

11) hunting for march in songs, montage songs.

12) sourcing the thank you gifts for helpers

can only thought of the above for now and i know there are quite alot of things missing from the list. =x

14 days to countdown

hubby is away again. just sent him off to the airport & for the first time im taking his car back with me. wheW! was raining so damn heavy on the drive home, i could not even see the dividers on the road!

whenever he's off overseas for training, i cant help but always worrying about his safety, especially this trip that he's making his way there now. he's off to some ulu place in india which requires him to take a 5hr train ride from new delhi to bring him to that ulu ulu land. i reckon the situation there is quite bad, from the fact that he even need to use mineral water just to rinse his mouth!

praying hard that everything will be smooth over there for him and be back home safely. only then till i see him on 15 mar, my heart will be at ease.
