This was done with loads of effort from the hubby. It was presented in our wedding banquet and got lots of pple feeling emotional about it.. =)

Hubby supposedly to go for his cohesion event today. It's a walk from MacRitchie Reservoir to the Tree Top bridge and then followed by lunch buffet at Hanabi. He even intended to bring me along with him. But, oh well.. we err.. Ermz.. OVER SLEPT and err.. feeling kind of lazy to do the 10.4km hike!

So I suggested to him a new place for brunch on a lazy day like today.. keke

The ambience of the cafe was good. Except that, it will be inconvenient if you don't drive. Hubby said it does have that kind of "overseas" feeling...

It is a nice.. no.. tranquility should be the word to describe the place for a lazy brunch or even tea-session with your loved ones! by the way mummies, it's kids' friendly! I'm so sure that I'm defintely going to patronise it again, soon. =)

The month of March 2010

It was an indeed a very very memorable March 2010 for me.

I started my practicum at Happy Family Child Care Centre on 1 MArch 2010. It was a totally fresh experience. I was attached to a N2 class. The kids were adorable, sweet and of course there were those very very mischievious ones! Everything was pleasant except that I kept falling sick for the whole month! I was still ok on the first week. Subsequently, I'm sick like every 3 days! First it was fever, then flu bug, then back to fever. My fever went as high as 38.9 degree and sore throat was bad, I totally lost my voice! This "bug" haunt me for a good 2 weeks! My body condition didn't get any better when I was down with stomach flu on the 3rd week! ArGH.. very frustrated with my own body!

Aside to my attachment in the month of March, it was my birthday month too! =)

First, it started off with the celebration with the "gang". We had a potluck bbq at east coast park! Lovely people and yummilicious food! Thoughtful Emily got each of the bday man/lady a birthday cookie! CUTE!

On my eve of my birthday, we went to BB Angus's one year old birthday celebration. The party was decorated with "Cars" theme. BB Angus still as cute and handsome as ever. Mummy Bernice was so sweet, she handmade me a ponytail band and it was in sucha sweet pink color! After the handsome kiddo's party, Hubby treat me to Pasta Inc. as my "birthday pressie". I am still cravings for Italian food... keke..

This "Squid Ink Pasta" is one of the better ones in Spore.. =) , worth trying! yumS!

Pasta Inc. is a nice place for Italian food, will defintely NEED to re-visit it again for more! Actually, on that day.. I didn't manage to have a good serving of it as I am unwell =X

I'm glad that the children were enjoying themselves at the learning corners. Made my efforts totally worth it! Everyday at the Childcare Centre was such a joyful thing!

Wedding, Honeymoon, Attachment all over! My Shalllalla time has gone! Now is back to the harsh reality. I gotta get a job sooOn!! (am so stressed over thiss...)

it's exactly 1 month away to the wedding!

feeling excited and really looking forward to it. think it will be my ONLY day of being so pretty! haha..

the husband is busy at work(ok, nothing's special abt this =x), at the same time busy doing up our childhood montage. he diligently completed the agendas and tasks list of the wedding entourage too. =)

it's the last few laps liao.. the husband starts to feel more kuncheong.. always checking with me this done yet, that confirmed yet.. blah blah.. even more kuncheong than me loh =p

for me, i still left with my "wishing tree", tidying up my forever messed up room & most importantly- to maintain & stay pretty! got to start my beauty regime religiously! i want to be a gorgeous bride!!!

Goodbye 2009, HELLO 2010!

yeSh! it's 2010 now!

im so excited & looking forward to this year. Lots of happy things going to come along the wAy or rather i hope all good things are coming!!

hmm.. abit reflections in 2009. the most valuable thing i've achieved will be my knowledge gained in Early Childhood & next will be the process of going through the wedding preps(be it good or bad). and, im glad i've ended 2009 with a perfect fullstop- i quitted from that miserable company! woohoo!! =p

2010 going to be a great year! first, THE WEDDING! the long awaited day has finally arrived in just a month away! it's a wedding that comes with sweat & tear plannings. yesh, i swear that. next, it's THE HONEYMOON!! i bet im not the only one who's crazily looking forward for this trip. ahem... for those who tompangs to lug your beloved bags home, yes.. it will be on your way soon! ohh, the fun doesn't end after this trip. im going to be attach to a childcare centre! woohoo!! 1 month of fun, laughter & stress i guess.. kekeke..

doesn't the above sound like a roller coaster ride?! hahaha.

and, I NEED A NEW JOB! and yes, that's my NEW YEAR RESOLUTION.

i hope & hope, wish & wish, pray & pray (to whoever) i will be able to secure myself with a decent job. yesh, a DECENT JOB.
pssstt, for all my dearest readers, pls do recommend/refer me to any job openings if you all come across. =)

next stage of life

another wedding bell ringing soon..

we have attended countless of weddings this year... wonder was it that everybody is trying to avoid the "tiger" next year or it's just our age? i will think it's the combination of both. coz' till date, im already "alarmed" with 4 weddings lining up next year...

with the happy news coming along the way, i can't help but feeling im REALLY proceeding to the next stage of my life, erm.. well, in fact i've already enterED since 14 sep 2008. =p

suddenly alot of thoughts flowing through my mind..

what have i achieved in my life thus far, beside hitching & got myself hookED up with mr. tan sheng yang?

am i now matured enough to decide & walk the kind of path i want in the upcoming years?

i realised the importance of family kinship & i really love my family loads. no words & actions can express my love for them, its just deep down in me.(perhaps its the upbringing in a chinese family..?) nevertheless, they will always be my first priority.

wahaha.. suddenly so emotional hor? >,<

oh yah, also i've came to realise i had became more affectionate too.. =)

so yeah, thats the thoughts of xinyi at 25, approaching to 26 in 3 mths to come.

"rubbish bin"

i feel like a rubbish bin.

thanks to the previous episode of "the wife is sick". i took exactly 1 week to recover fully, for that period, i literally survived on the medicines only!

i knew im fully recovered when i start to realise that im eating non stop since last sunday! there's even a small lil' bump now.. (not pregnant!) goodness, there's still gatherings coming up!!!

ok, i better start to control my diet else, all my efforts for the past months will go down to the drain!

the wife is sick

the wife is sick for the week!

the pain in the tummy woke me up from sleep at 5am on monday morning. the sharp pain was unbearable until i teared! rushed to the GP when the clock ticked 8am.

was down with stomach flu, caused by food poisoning! the pills prescribed didn't help me get any better, instead i was running a high fever in the evening. my whole body was aching & i felt i weighed a ton! headache, giddiness, nauseous.. felt so terrible enough for me to be dragged down to the GP for the second time (in a day) by the worried husband.

was given more days medical leaves to rest at home & of coz with more medications.


i'm still on recovery. i want to get well again before the selection of AD gowns on saturday... =x

the hubby is finally back!

my dearest hubby is back!

as predicted, he lost weight & looks very chao tah! BUT, it's ok. there's still time for him to "recover" his handsome-ness! keke!!

3 weeks of seperation, 1 round of weight lost for us. the weighing machine showed:

the husband: 70Kg
the wife: 45kg

2 more months, we are gonna try our best to maintain at this!

while the husband is away... (Part 1)

the strategy for not to miss the husband too much when he's away is to pack my schedule with activities!

the first weekend:

6 nov, friday
got a free pair of tickets to s'pore hit awards @ the indoor stadium. was with doreen, who loves singing. the ceremony was sooo long! our butts were aching from the lousy seats! Mayday & SHE were fantastic! they were the only ones which i think made my butt aching worths it. haha!

7 nov, saturday
popping by to visit pinky @ red dot museum. she had her usual accessories stall setup there every first weekend of the month. we had a impromptu dinner and milkshakes & ice-cream session with our future neighbours. it was quite enjoyable & we had a good time chatting & laughing!

8 nov, sunday
went over to my dearest carine's abode after my kickboxing class. whipped up some simple dishes & as usual, we had a great time catching up. always love chatting & just lazing at my aunt agony's place.. kekek.. =p
the second weekend:

14 & 15 nov, saturday & sunday
i joined pinky at a flea market held @ sculpture square, selling my unwanted barangs. it was my first experience & it's quite fun. besides that, i've also learnt how to do my pretty corsages for my jiemeis! all thanks to darling pinky! erms, however i still cannot manage to complete a corsage myself... kekeke.. i can only help to twist the 'branches with pearls'... with pinky's magic hand, she turned it to a pretty corsage!

aside to the activities, the preparation of the wedding keeps me occupied too. Guo Da Li & An Zhuang date have been confirmed, invitation cards have been sent out for printing, forever updating the guestlists, to request Sophia for additional printings for thank-you cards had also been instructed, corsages for jiemeis done, confirmed photos & song for our photo montage given to shirley for the making...

1 more weekend and the husband will be back!!
